Tickertastic
We’re currently trying to raise funds for a healthy well being project called Tickertastic which we hope will improve the health and wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities in Lambeth.
We will run sets of ten week programmes, supporting people to improve their heart health by taking part in exercise groups, healthy eating sessions and by monitoring their weight, BMI and waist measurements. Exercise groups will include yoga, walking, healthy eating and keep-fit activities. We will work with service users on individual plans for their heart health, for the duration of each programme and to support people to build sustainable and accessible activity programmes to maintain their progress once the project finishes.
Computer Project
We hoping to run computer sessions for our service users. We have large screen and accessible keyboard and trackball. We hope to support service users to write cv’s, look for jobs, to produce video blogs for the website and to communicate with their families and relatives using skype.
