Who is the project for?
We offer a range of services for adults with Learning Disabilities, who may live in- dependently or with their families or carers. The service could be provided as weekly session of 2 hours or as 24/7 support in their own homes.
Our service is flexible putting the needs of the service user first making sure that they make decisions for themselves and that their choices are respected.
We promote a professional relationship with service users through good communication, respect, valuing all service users equally and working together in partnership. The service upholds the rights of service users as well as understanding their individual needs while protecting and keeping them safe. We are an accredited service, registered as a domiciliary care service under the Commission for Social Care and Inspection.
What does the project do?
The Community Support Service aims to enable individuals to achieve economic well being, staying safe, be healthy, achieve and enjoy and making a positive contribution.
The type of support includes:
- developing independent living skills
- maintenance of their homes and their tenancies
- money management
- attending appointments & meetings and to understand them
- Promote participation of local activities / employment
The service is commissioned by Lambeth Learning Disability Partnership, South- wark Disability team and also purchased by service users with Direct Payment, Independent Living Fund and Individualised Budgets.
