Lambeth Mencap is now working closely with other carers’ services as part of the Carers Hub Lambeth which supports carers of all ages in a variety of ways.
The other members of Carers Hub Lambeth are: Crossroads Care (South Thames), DASL (Disability Advice Service Lambeth) and Lambeth AgeUK.
The Carers Hub provides the following services and opportunities for you or any other carer within your family;
- An Enquiry Line which you can call Mon-Fri from 9-5 for accurate and up-to-date information and to be connected with the right services for you
- In-depth Advice and Support on matters such as benefits and housing
- A Mentoring Service offering one-to-one support on any of the challenges you may face as a carer
- A Newsletter and a Website highlighting special interests, information and local news events
- An opportunity to increase local contacts and share useful information at regular Carers Forums, Mini Forums, carers’ groups and coffee mornings
- An opportunity to share ideas and experiences online through our website forum
- Discounted back care treatment provided by the British School of Osteopathy
- A specialist service for carers of people with mental health problems.
As a result of our closer working relationship we will be able to keep you better informed of what is going on with things that affect carers, and make it easier for you to get help and advice when you need it.
